Movies
The Palace is a great place to sit back, relax and enjoy your favorite movie thanks to low conession stand prices, $3.00 movies, and one of the best sound and projection systems in the Midwest. Most weekends include a movie on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings at 7:00 p.m. Learn all about our new projection and sound system on "The Theatre" page!
Our Summer Movie Program begins in June shortly after schools lets out and includes about 10 movies for the kids. Summer Movies are shown on Tuesdays at 1:00 p.m.
Christmas is a special time of year for most people and the Palace Christmas Movies are no exception. Starting the Saturday after Thanksgiving and running for several weeks during the holiday season, the Palace shows movies for the whole family beginning at 1:00 p.m. Stop by early and visit with Santa Claus in the lobby of the Palace before these free movies. Santa's visits are from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
Theatre Programs Live Stage Shows
The theatre has a seating capacity of 1399, a newly renovated backstage and counter-weight system, a Baldwin SF 10 Grand Piano and the largest movie screen in Lorain County.
Summer Youth Theatre
Have you ever wanted to act in a play, help build a set or learn how to do makeup? The Summer Youth Theatre may be for you. Children 8 - 18 can enroll in this theatre workshop during the summers. Kids will learn about the theatre, work in groups to design sets and costumes and will end the summer by performing in their own production. Children meet daily from 9:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. except on Tuesdays when they are released early so they can catch the Summer Fun Movie series at the Palace. There is a small tuition charge to enroll in the Summer Youth Theatre. Call the Palace Box office at (440) 245-2323 for more details.
Meetings and Seminars
The lobby area of the Theatre auditorium is available for rent to both small and large groups. With a beautiful wooden bar and plenty of table space, this facility can add charm and excitment to your next gathering. Call the Palace Box Office for more information.
Banquets, Parties and Dances
Dinner seating for over 300 people is available in the lobbies and loges. The stage converts into a 60' by 25' dance floor or banquet facility. Private parties with private movie screenings are also available. Whatever the occasion, the Palace can accomodate your next group get together.
Bazaars and Craft Shows
The inner and outer lobby area provides plenty of space for table set up, product displays, and browsing areas. You will also see your organization's name in lights on the beautiful marquee located in front of the Palace.
