Pat Travers
Pat Travers is a Canadian rock guitarist, singer, and songwriter known for his fiery playing and high-energy performances. Emerging in the mid-1970s, Travers quickly gained attention with his blues-infused hard rock sound and gritty vocals. His breakthrough came with the 1979 live album Live! Go for What You Know, which featured the classic anthem “Boom Boom (Out Go the Lights).” Known for his masterful guitar work and genre-blending style, Travers has successfully mixed rock, blues, and boogie into a sound that remains influential in both rock and blues circles. Over the years, the Pat Travers Band has released numerous albums, maintaining a loyal fanbase and consistently delivering powerful performances. With a career spanning decades, Travers continues to be a respected and enduring figure in the world of rock and blues.
The Pat Travers Band (PTB) currently consists of Pat Travers (guitars, vocals, keyboards), drummer Alex Petrosky, and David Pastorius (bass/vocals).
Cactus
They were called “The American Led Zeppelin” back in 1970. Tall words, indeed, but CACTUS – Carmine Appice, Tim Bogert, Jim McCarty and the late Rusty Day (who died in 1982) – came out only months after their Brit counterparts, only to flame out brightly after four albums, Cactus, One Way… Or Another, ‘Ot ‘n’ Sweaty and Restrictions, before 1973 even started. Now, four decades later, the band that made such an impression with their loud blues-edged hard rock madness, the band that influenced the likes of Van Halen, Joe Bonamassa, David Coverdale and Kid Rock, the band that foreshadowed heavy music itself, are back.
The current touring line-up of Cactus came together last year for a new and exciting musical journey to the Temple Of Blues, the album released in 2024, and features bassist Jimmy Caputo, Artie Dillon on guitar, vocalist and harp player Ed Terry, and of course Carmine Appice on drums.
